What do I need to integrate with HubSpot?

❇️ Inte­gra­tion with Hub­Spot is avail­able for all cur­rent Work­sec­tion tar­iff plans, except for the free ver­sion.

❇️ In CRM, you need to have a cre­at­ed account and appro­pri­ate per­mis­sions.

❇️ In Work­sec­tion, the Own­er and admin­is­tra­tors with the Access to account set­tings” per­mis­sion can con­nect the integration.

Integration with HubSpot CRM

When you move a deal in CRM to a new stage in Work­sec­tion, a task is cre­at­ed in the cor­re­spond­ing project. Addi­tion­al­ly, the fol­low­ing actions can be initiated: 

  • assign­ing respon­si­bil­i­ty, set­ting dead­lines, and pri­or­i­ties for tasks;
  • import­ing var­i­ous data from CRM into the cor­re­spond­ing task, such as con­tact details;
  • auto­mat­i­cal­ly updat­ing the sta­tus of the cor­re­spond­ing deal in the CRM sys­tem when a task is closed in Worksection.

Connecting HubSpot CRM

☝️Note! Inte­gra­tion with Hub­Spot is avail­able for all cur­rent Work­sec­tion tar­iff plans, except for the free ver­sion. Access to con­nect the inte­gra­tion and set up automa­tions is avail­able to own­ers and admin­is­tra­tors with the Access to account set­tings” permission.

Step 1️⃣ — Go to the Work­sec­tion account settings.


Step 2️⃣ — Acti­vate the required CRM system.



Step 3️⃣ — Be logged in to Hub­Spot, or log in by enter­ing your details in the win­dow that opens automatically. 


Step 4️⃣ — Allow Work­sec­tion access to your Hub­Spot account by click­ing Con­nect app”.



Step 5️⃣ — Cre­ate a new automa­tion by click­ing the “+ automa­tion” button.



Fill in the fol­low­ing fields:

  • Select the fun­nel and stage from Hub­Spot for which you want to cre­ate a task;
  • Select the Project in the Work­sec­tion where the task will be created; 
  • Enter a title of the task, if nec­es­sary, spec­i­fy the dura­tion of the task, pri­or­i­ty, and respon­si­ble person;
  • Addi­tion­al­ly, you can select the infor­ma­tion to be import­ed from CRM.

You can import sev­er­al con­tacts from Hub­Spot to a task at once.




When import­ing con­tacts from Hub­Spot, the exis­tence of the con­tact in Work­sec­tion is checked. First, by Name + Email” and if not found, then by Name + Phone”. If there is no match, a new con­tact is cre­at­ed.

☝️ Note! If there were any changes to the phone num­ber in the CRM (changed, delet­ed, or added to the con­tact), the phone num­ber in Work­sec­tion will not be updat­ed, if a match is found based on Name + Email.”

  • Spec­i­fy how the trans­ac­tion in CRM will be affect­ed when the task is closed in Worksection. 



☝️ Note! You can auto­mat­i­cal­ly add the nec­es­sary fields from CRM to the task title. For exam­ple, the title Deal deal­name” con­sists of text Deal” and vari­able para­me­ter deal­name tak­en from CRM


#To add a new para­me­ter, enclose it in curly brack­ets . The list of para­me­ters is dis­played in the Fields” field:




Step 6️⃣ — Add oth­er automa­tions if necessary

Editing an automation

To edit any automa­tion, you need to go to the inte­gra­tion set­tings, click on the desired automa­tion 1 and make changes.




To delete an automa­tion, move the cur­sor over the desired automa­tion, and the icon for delet­ing will appear 2. A warn­ing mes­sage will appear, after which you can delete this automation.


#Impor­tant! Tasks will not be cre­at­ed in an archived project. If a project has been moved to the archive or delet­ed, an expla­na­tion will be marked in the inte­gra­tion block oppo­site the cor­re­spond­ing automation.



☝️ Note! When you con­nect the inte­gra­tion, the first tasks will be cre­at­ed in 5 min­utes. Syn­chro­niza­tion is per­formed every 5 min­utes, so there may be some delay in automation.

Deleting an integration

To remove the Hub­Spot inte­gra­tion, sim­ply dis­able it in the Work­sec­tion set­tings. You don’t need to delete all automa­tions beforehand.




When you dis­able the inte­gra­tion, the sys­tem will warn you that all automa­tion set­tings will be deleted.
