MeisterTask is built around a Kanban board where tasks move between sections, while timelines and subtasks are only available on higher plans. Worksection displays the project in time immediately: structure 'project → task → subtask', Gantt chart with dependencies, Gantt by people, calendar, and nine types of data displays.
Time tracker and budgeting in money
MeisterTask tracks time in tasks, but does not include financials for the project. In Worksection, the timer is built into the task, and budgets are managed at the project level: hourly rates, standard working hours, planned vs. actual costs, and expense reports. You can see not only the hours spent but also how much the team’s work cost.
Built-in messenger
In MeisterTask, communication is limited to comments on tasks. In Worksection, you get private, group, and project chats right in the system, discussion threads, mentions of colleagues and tasks from the chat, postponed comments, and the ability to create tasks from comments.
